First Baptist Church of Ellenton - 2013 Workday Photo Gallery
In my entire ministry I don't believe I have ever been as blessed by "holy participation" as I was at our last workday. With a wonderful filling breakfast prepared by Charlie and Michael, we tackled a bunch of tasks. Ladies washed windows and buildings and sidewalks...pretty much anything that didn't move and some that did! Rooms were painted, shrubs and trees trimmed and water coolers installed. And that "pile of lumber" in the courtyard between the worship center and the annex was transformed into a play set. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone involved...especially to those who couldn't come but prayed for our safety as we worked. Work days are another example of "better together". God always blesses the toil of people seeking His will. As we continue to grow at the Church at the Crossroads, more folks will be visiting and hopefully not just for one time. The importance of our building and grounds appearance is foremost. In comments from one growth consultant recently, appearance was on a list of three of the most important items. As you observe opportunities in this area, please bring them to the attention of our Building and Grounds Team headed up by Steve Stewart. - Rev. Cliff Mattox, Pastor
